Exotic Cuisine.Yummy.?

This is Timmy. He is been caged for 3 days. He taught his life will be changed after found by the new owner........

However......

This is what has happened to him...

In some restaurants in Guangdong, China, have been promoting a popular dish called water boiled live cats.

The way the restaurants kill the cats is very cruel and inhumane. One of the chefs even says the more torture the cats receive, the better they taste.

They use a bat and beat the cats until they pass out; then throw them into hot water and boil them alive, then disskin and cook them again.

One restaurant in Pan Yu district, even has a cat shelter in their back yard.

In case if you are interested, this is the menu and price.

  • Cat meat ($1.25)/lb
  • Cats brain ($3.5)/lb
  • Cats intestine ($6.4)/lb

cats news...

1. Anonymous Ohio cat lovers have enabled the Summit Animal Coalition to establish a mobile veterinary clinic in Lakemore. The $50,000 donation, on top of a $300,000 donation in 2006, have made it possible for hundreds of cats to be spayed or neutered, Since September 2 alone, more than 500 cats have been altered, according to the Ohio.com article. Failure to spay and neuter is the single most cause for the huge crunch in animal shelter overflow, so this project will pay off eventually for the Summit county shelter.
2.Armed with a search warrant, Two SPCA officers, two Delta police officers, and two outside veterinarians visited the Forgotten Felines animal rescue and seized almost 50 cats. Forgotten Felines is apparently a one-person rescue group, and includes the farm home of Penny March, and an enclosed barn. Two kittens deemed beyond hope were euthanized on the site and the 49 seized cats are now receiving veterinary care. Approximately 150 cats remain in the barn, and the SPCA has issued orders to have the remaining cats examined by a vet within 24 hours.
According to the Delta Optimist article, the SPCA will continue to work with March, to help ameliorate this situation. SPCA spokesperson Lorie Chortyk was quoted as saying,
"This is a rescue group... we always want rescue groups to succeed," she said. "We'll continue to work with Forgotten Felines... we have for a number of years, we want them to succeed."There is sometimes a fine line between "rescue" and "hoarding," when passion is overcome by financial limitations.
3. Cat owners in the U.K. fear a copycat killer, as nine cats in Weston-super-Mare have died from anti-freeze poisoning in recent weeks, according to Sky News. Prior to that, 19 cats died the same way in Bridgewater, Summerset. The distance between the two towns leads authorities to suspect a copycat killer.
Customs vary in different parts of the world. In the U.K., it is generally believed that it is cruel to keep cats indoors, while in the U.S., the trend has grown toward keeping cats inside, for their protection, and for the protection of wildlife. At the very least, the only positive spin I can put on this piece of news is a reminder to keep anti-freeze out of the reach of cats (which should be doable if you keep them inside your home.)
news taken from : cats.about.com

Life span of cats.

In average ,a cat usually can live up to 12 to 15 years. But it actually really depends on many aspects. Some cats which are have good breed and have a super healthy health and of course live indoor can live up to 20 to 30 years. Cats that live indoor and outdoor usually don't last to the average age because of traffic accidents, fighting with other cats, caught disease and viruses, poisoning, and death caused by predators.

Something for you

  • According to the Guinness Book of Records the oldest living cat is a 31 year old Burmese named Kataleena Lady, who was born on March 11th, 1977 and currently lives in Melborne, Australia.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR CATS.........

READ THIS IF YOU LOVE YOUR CAT!!!!!!
(a brief information for cat care)

Cat care : is an important part of cat ownership. Here are some of the essentials you need
to do to take the best care of your cat

A regular trip to the vet:cat care begins with the first trip to the veterinarian with that
new
kitten. The vet will give the kitten the first of its shots and test it for worms. He will also
examine the kitten for diseases or other problems. Cat care requires occasional trips to the vet,so you should expect to spend at least RM100 a year or so on this aspect of owning
a cat.

Spaying or neutering: every cat that is simply being kept as a pet should be
spayed or neutered. If you have a female and you put this cat care step off a little too long, you
may have a litter of kittens on your hands. Fortunately, mother cats generally have wonderful
instincts for providing newborn kitten care. If, however, something happens to her, you might
need to help her out.

Quality food and fresh water: You as the owner should provide you cat with quality cat
food and plenty of fresh water. Clean the food dish after every meal. so that your cat can be
always healthy and beauty.

Grooming: is something long haired as well as short haired cats benefit from, although
long haired cats need it more to prevent matting of the fur and fur balls. Long haired cats need
to be groomed daily. Buy a specialized brush at the local pet shop or on the
Internet.

Bathing: is not necessary for cats in normal situations, they are perfectly capable of cleaning
themselves. Sometimes bathing might be useful, for example when they are extremely dirty or
after giving a flea treatment.

Trimming claws: is not a necessary thing to do. If your cat attacks your furniture or
carpets, it's more useful to buy a scratching post, where the cat can sharp it's nails.

Litter box: put the litter box in a quiet place and clean it regularly. Try out what kind of
litter your cat likes best.

Flea control: check your cat regularly for fleas. Best time to do this is while grooming. Get a
flea treatment product if your cat has fleas, or better yet, get a flea collar to prevent your cat
getting fleas.

Playing: play regularly with your cat, it needs the attention, stimulation and
physical exercise.

Here's some of the apparel you need to take care of your cat:

- litter box and litter
-a scoop for cleaning the litter box
-cat food dishes and water bowls
-some toys
-a scratching post
-a cat bed or a cushion to sleep on
-flea treatment
-a flea collar with ID tag
-a cat door
-a brush for grooming
-sardine oil to help the cat eliminate fur balls
-a cat kennel for transportation
-quality cat food
-cat grass

how to clean cats urine on your carpet

It isn’t just anyone who could get away with peeing on our rugs. It’s a good thing we love our cats so much, or they likely wouldn’t get away with it either. It’s frustrating when they do it though, as it’s an unpleasant thing to clean up. No one wants to don the rubber gloves, and goodness knows that smell alone can knock you flat.

Why your cat is peeing in the house
Rest assured; your cat isn’t doing it to annoy you. If your cat is going outside his litter pan, there’s a reason for it and you’ll probably want to speak to your vet about it. Some cats continue to mark their territory long after they have lived there, backing up to vertical surfaces, lifting their tails and shooting a horizontal stream of urine onto places like your walls or your couches. You’ll know if your cat is doing this by finding small stains. But, if your cat is leaving large puddles in sleeping areas or on horizontal surfaces, chances are, it isn’t healthy marking, but stress or illness that’s causing the pee-pee incidents.

Be prepared to clean up
To be prepared to clean up accidents, have a bucket in your utility closet that’s stocked with kitty accident clean-up tools. You’ll want rubber gloves as cat urine can be caustic. Keep a supply of sponges, absorbent cloths, paper towels and an enzymatic cleanser (more on that later) in there as well. One of the most important tools though, will be a black light. Cat urine will show up under this light. Old stains will be dimmer than others, but new stains will light up like the Fourth of July. So, if you are walking around the room and can’t quite put your finger on where that odor is coming from; turn out the lights and run the black light over the carpet until you find the culprit stain.

How to clean a stain
If the stain is fresh, use the absorbent cloth to blot up as much of the stain as you possibly can. Do not rub the stain; this will only make the odor worse as you’ll be spreading it around. Rinse it with warm water and blot it again. Cover it with paper towels and really put your weight on it. Throw some books on there or stand on it to soak up the rest of the urine for about thirty seconds or so before you add the enzymatic cleanser. If the stain is old, follow the same procedure, but start the process by covering the area with clean water first to sort of, “revive” the stain.

Once you’ve completed this step, apply the enzymatic cleanser of your choice. These really need a good chance at working, so cover the area with a blanket or even with some tin foil and weight it down so your kitty doesn’t go knocking the covering off and starting the process all over again. Keeping the area covered helps keep the area wet and saturated with product long enough to let the enzymes work on the stain. Follow the specific instructions for the cleanser you’ve chosen though.

When you’re done, remove the covering and try a pheromone product like, Feliway to discourage your cat from continuing to pee in the same area, or at all. Feliway mimics your cat’s facial hormones and is thought to make your cat calmer and less likely to mark or urinate due to stress. It is available in both a spray and a diffuser that you can plug into a wall outlet.
